Even though we recommend to our customers that wherever possible, for compatibility and future development, that the Visual Studio suite of applications be used in conjunction with a well known backend database such as MYSQL or Microsoft SQL Server.  For smaller companies Microsoft Access is an ideal budget all in one application containing it's own relational database and suite of development applications for Windows forms, Windows and HTML reports, as well as incorporating Visual Basic code to run your application.
